\JAttached is a copy of the letter I wrote to Bob Alkire. I have the
distinct feeling that I enclosed more material, but can't recall right now.

As I mentioned on the phone, I think it is important that MicroDaSys make
its presence known in the University circles; that strategy worked well for
DEC, and Apollo is pursuing that strategy now. The AI community is a
creative (and well-to-do) segment of the computing field; a professionally
crafted LISP will open the door to that market.

In a related area, I recall that your company sells Z-80 based
products. I am interested in the following configuration for several of my
courses:
a Z-80A (hopefully B), with at least 256x192 graphics (hopefully with color),
at least 64KB (better, 256KB),
encapsulated in a single cabinet including screen and keyboard;
disk drives are not needed, but a reasonably high-speed network interface is.

Such a system, reasonably priced, would do very well in the LOGO/graphics-LISP
educational market. With Papert, Servan-Schreiber,
the Xerox Learning Research Group, and myself all advocating
 quality education based on computation,
this markert will be substantial.
